Great fun was had by all who attended our Pickleball taster session last Saturday. Fundraising is going really well so hopefully we’ll soon have a lovely new surface to play on.

Yesterday was our annual Sports Afternoon – we were so lucky with the weather. As always it is so good to see the teamwork and support shown by the children for all their houses. It was also fun to see the return of the parents’ races this year – eagerly requested by the children. Thank you to the PTA for organising the cake stall for the afternoon – it raised £59.30.
Here is the winning team-the Blues.

You may have seen the new banner now being displayed on the front of the school building. One of the school governors is working very hard on a fund raising project to try and raise £15,000 to resurface the school playground and to make it useable for various sports including a pickleball court for children and adult members of the community. We hope to colour in the various characters on the banner as we reach our target. We will also be doing our part by including the money raised from our sponsored walk (letter and sponsor form to be sent out soon).

Congratulations to Mrs Harding for her abseil down the Abbey Tower on Saturday as part of the Dorchester Festival – it was great to witness her quickly descend as if she was Spiderwoman.
